Google Sightseeing is a website that showcases things to see on Google Maps and Google Earth. The first 'sight' was posted on April 6, 2005 and the posts range from the obvious (the Flatiron building) to the not so obvious (Steel Dinosaurs). The website's motto is "Why bother seeing the world for real?".

Google Sightseeing takes the form of a daily updated Blog, powered by WordPress, and is authored by three Web Developers from Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. All the sights are sorted into various categories including "Towers", "Buildings", "Aircraft" and "Large Type".

Google Sightseeing celebrated its 1st anniversary on April 19, 2006 (two weeks later than the actual anniversary) with a full website redesign.
